Compact and easy to use, the LF60LAT Petrol is a small forward plate with big performance. The LF60LAT is reliable, easy to maintain and fuel efficient. The LF60LAT weighs 67kg and has a plate width of 350mm.
The LF60LAT forward plate is perfect for use on asphalt materials due to the fact it comes standard with a water tank and sprinkler bar to keep the bottom plate cool and reduce frustrating asphalt adhesion. The asphalt range of LF forward plates also has a specially designed compaction plate that helps produce a smoother finish with its rolled edges ensuring the plate does not mark or dig into the finished product and allowing for easier turning.
The asphalt LF range of vibration plates are designed for asphalt however are also just as suited to work on soil, sand and gravel compaction applications.
When you get down to business there are three key areas the LF range out performs the rest: easy, safe operation and impressive uptime.
The anti-vibration handle protects and makes you more efficient. A hand/arm vibration value of only 1.9 m/s2 means that you can use this machine for up to eight hours with more precision and without risking your safety.
When you start up the engine all you should think about is how to do a great job on time and on budget. The LF walk behind compactor range has a smart, low maintenance design that allows you to spend time on actual compaction work instead of doing time wasting maintenance jobs such as bottom plate cleaning, pipe cleaning and belt repairs. Of course our machines need maintenance from time to time however by using world class petrol engines from Honda and diesel engines from Hatz we are able to reduce downtime significantly. Along with our state of the art V-Belt design with a Kevlar cord through its centre adding strength and a cooling fan with ventilated cover keeping belt temperatures low the LF range of compactors won’t let you down.
Ideal jobs include asphalt patch work, minor asphalt works such as paths and driveways, it is also an ideal complement to a larger double drum roller to get into those hard to reach areas. It can also be used in other compaction work such as residential/commercial electrical and plumbing trench work, concrete slab preparations, driveways, subdivisions and landscaping works. The whole LF range covers weight classes from 53 to 141 kg and plate widths from 320 to 500 mm. With a block paving kit the forward plates are also suitable for block paving.
A great compactor can handle both soil and asphalt. Here’s how we help you tame mother natures upper crust.
Compaction has a profound influence on asphalt performance. Compaction transforms the asphalt mix from a loose state to a compact surface that carry heavy loads. Efficiency of compaction depends heavily on the internal resistance of asphalt. Tools must be able to compact without leaving marks and water is important to create a smooth surface.
SILT NEEDS FORCE
Silt needs proper water content for good compacting. The cohesive soils, like clay and silt, have the smallest particles of all soils. Silt particles are larger than in clay, but they are still small enough to require high energy for deep compacting. A powerful forward plate together with your experience gets the job done.
TAKE IT GENTLE
For sand and gravel you can achieve highdensity compaction in either a dry or saturated state. The level of compaction depends more on grading than on moisture. Too much compaction of sand and gravel is like beating a concrete wall with a sledgehammer. It can crush the material and reduce the load bearing capacity.
Our forward plates all have one thing in common – they keep you going without interruption.
Before choosing a machine you have to know what you want to accomplish. The part of the range specialised in granular soil has been designed for compacting thin to medium layers. Silt and gravel require good climbing capacity, high centrifugal forces and high speeds. The LF80 is fast and it belongs to the most powerful machines on the market weighing less than 100 kg. The anti-vibration handle protects and makes you more efficient. Thanks to a hand/arm vibration value of only 1,2 m/s2 , the entire LF-range lets you work for eight hours with more precision and without risking your safety. Asphalt requires a water distribution system and base plates that can compact without leaving marks. Simple is good. And when it comes to water distribution we have created the simplest possible solution. The water flows without the need of piping that might get clogged or broken. Ideal jobs include repair jobs and maintenance work such as driveways, pathways and parking lots. The whole range covers weight classes from 53 to 141 kg and plate widths from 320 to 500 mm. With a block paving kit the forward plates are also suitable for block paving. All LF compactors are factory prepared for mounting a block paving kit. If you have an older machine, without factory made holes, a drill fixture is available.
Asphalt handles extreme loads in temperature-ranges from -30° to +60°. Great compaction helps making it possible.
Asphalt needs compaction to perform. And compaction needs to be just right. When asphalt has too high void content it can deform due to compaction from vehicles. Low void content makes it unstable and the surface will rut. Water is especially important when compacting asphalt. We recommend you equip your LF-model with an additional water tank. The removable tank has an oversized, secure cap to make refills fast, easy and less frequent. Water consumption is optimized with an easy to reach flow adjustment valve. To create additional uptime, our forward plates are equipped with petrol engines from Honda and diesel engines from Hatz. As for work, this specific range of forward plates is perfect for repair and maintenance work, such as driveways, pathways and parking lots. The machines are easy to clean, leave no marks in the asphalt and are able to use whatever water is available on the construction site. The new LF 60 LA/LAT comes with our proven integrated water distribution system. Flexible and easy to handle, enables a new way of working on asphalt. The lightweight also calls for easier transportation, making it a valuable tool for almost any maintenance task.
